Firework's Sneak Peek...

Here are some shots from my first "real" attempt at capturing fireworks... Trying to get the settings on point was a bit nerve-racking at first, but once I got it, I think they turned out pretty good!  Ideally, I would have been further away, but there's always tomorrow... Or Monday...  If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!  Enjoy....

"Baby, You're a Firework... "

Its that time of year again... As the sun sets and the moon rises, we get comfy in our lawn chairs and anticipate the spectacle of lights from the sky...

Last year, I had just gotten a new lens for my camera and had not yet mastered low light photography (FYI, I still haven't!) and I didn't capture one picture worth sharing... This year is going to be different... I have done my homework on settings, lighting and location, I have my tri-pod and remote trigger ready...  Cedar Creek Yacht Club show tonight, Hendersonville tomorrow night and Nashville on Monday...

I'm hopeful! 

Life has been... Life...

I promised myself when I started this blog that I would actually keep up with it... I obviously have not held true to that...  Life is very different from when I last posted, but when it gets you down, you just have to get up, dust off and keep going...  Or if you're me, run away with your camera and your thoughts...

How can something so creepy crawly, create something so intricate and beautiful... I hate a spider, but I appreciate their art... Sometimes... 

Something about a lily just makes me smile...
